Michael Cole is a PhD candidate at the University of Tartu, Estonia, and a visiting researcher at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow. His dissertation, as part of the Marie Curie Horizon 2020 project ‘FATIGUE’, assesses Russia’s influence on far-right populist discourses in Georgia and Ukraine. Michael’s research interests also include the relationship between football and politics, the use of social media to normalise extreme political views, and far-right community building.
